--SS Gibril Wilson was released by the Raiders ust one season have signing a six-year, $39 million contract. Wilson was due a $4.9 million roster bonus in March. He received an $8.4 million signing bonus last offseason and was second on the team with 129 tackles, but was considered one of the main offenders in a run defense that missed too many tackles.


--WR Ronald Curry was released by the Raiders. He was due a $3.5 million in base salary next season. He caught just 19 passes last season after catching 117 the previous year.

--DE Kalimba Edwards was released by the Raiders. He was due $2.25 million next season after signing a two-year deal last offseason. He didn't register a sack over the final eight games last season, finishing with five for the year.

UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENTS

--FS Rashad Baker played in 10 games with one start and received extensive playing time toward the latter part of the season.

--G Cooper Carlisle has started 31 of 32 games at right guard since arriving as a free agent from the Denver Broncos, although he was better in 2007 than he was in 2008.

--WR Drew Carter suffered a season-ending ACL tear in the next-to-last preseason game, spending the season on injured reserve. He has had four ACL surgeries - two on each knee.

--LB Isaiah Ekejiuba has been one of the Raiders core special teams players for the past three seasons.

--C Jake Grove voided the final year of his contract after making 12 starts and an impressive comeback from microfracture knee surgery.

--DL William Joseph didn't make it through the final cut in training camp but was re-signed during the season, playing eight games and contributing three tackles and five assists.

--WR Ashley Lelie played in 13 games before missing the final three games with an ankle injury, catching 11 passes for 197 yards and two touchdowns.

--CB Justin Miller helped energize the Raiders kickoff return team, running back two for touchdowns in seven games after he was waived by the Jets.

--TE Tony Stewart caught 11 passes in 16 games after catching zero in 16 games in 2007. He is primarily a special teams player and a blocking tight end.

--QB Marques Tuiasosopo moved past Andrew Walter to become the backup to JaMarcus Russell for the last quarter of the season, although he didn't get in a game.

--LB Sam Williams is a favorite of the owner and hasn't developed as a strong side linebacker but has some special teams value.

RESTRICTED FREE AGENTS

--LB Jon Alston started the last four games at strong side linebacker in addition to being a core special teams player and finished with a career-high 34 tackles.

--LB Ricky Brown won the starting job as the starting strong side linebacker in training camp but ended up missing the last nine games with a severe groin injury.

--C Chris Morris can play both center and guard but could be expendable if the Raiders blend more power blocking in with the strict zone scheme they've played the last two years.
