For the first time in a while, Darren McFadden's feet feel fine.
After dealing with turf toe on both feet since Week 2 and missing the last three games, the rookie running back is starting to feel like his old self.
"It feels good to be able to go out there and run and not have pain," McFadden said.
Raiders interim coach Tom Cable said Thursday that McFadden was limited in practice but "ready to go" for Sunday's game in Miami.
McFadden has practiced in cleats with carbon fiber bottoms to provide better support for his feet.
"I feel like with the last two days I've been in (the cleats), everything feels normal," McFadden said.
Burgess sits -- Defensive end Derrick Burgess (triceps) did not practice a day after returning to the field for the first time since Oct. 6.
Cable said fatigue was the issue, not the injury, after so much time off. Burgess might not play this weekend but could return next weekend at Denver.
"We waited because we wanted to have him right," Cable said. " ... Otherwise (the muscle) could tear, and it's done. (Then) you've got to have surgery to fix it."
Quarterback JaMarcus Russell (knee) was limited but is expected to start Sunday.
Center Jake Grove (calf), linebacker Ricky Brown (groin) and quarterback Andrew Walter (ankle) did not practice.
Safety Gibril Wilson (back) and wide receiver Chaz Schilens (ankle) were limited.
Miller arrives -- Cornerback and former Pro Bowl kick returner Justin Miller practiced after being claimed off waivers from the New York Jets on Wednesday.
Depending on how he looks in practice today, Cable said Miller could return kickoffs in place of Johnnie Lee Higgins on Sunday.
